The 9th plenary session of the Euro-Mediterranean Regional and Local Assembly (ARLEM) will be held in Giza, Egypt, on 20 and 21 February 2018 at the invitation of Mr. Mohamed Kamal El Daly, Governor of Giza.
The 9th ARLEM plenary session will provide an opportunity to debate the role of local and regional authorities in managing migration and the two thematic reports drawn up by the Commission for Sustainable Territorial Development, namely on women empowerment respectively on combating radicalisation and violent extremism among young people in the Mediterranean. The Assembly will also determine the priorities for the activities in the current ARLEM mandate as well as Recommendations, as well as the topics and the rapporteurs for 2018.
