The UCLG Co-Presidency and City of Guangzhou will host the Guangzhou Award Ceremony on occasion of the Metropolis Board of Directors Meeting from 14 to 17 November 2012.
Launched in March 2012 by UCLG, Metropolis and the City of Guangzhou, the Guangzhou International Award for Urban Innovation will celebrate its 1st Award Ceremony. With applications coming from more than 40 countries around the world, the Award will recognize and grant the most outstanding innovative urban projects and practices in the public sector.
The Mayor of Guangzhou, Chen Jianhua, would like to extend a warm invitation to all UCLG Members who are able to participate in this gathering. The Ceremony will be a good opportunity to exchange knowledge among city leaders and to explore urban practices advancing the livelihood of their citizens.
