United Cities and Local Governments has decided to perform a survey which is aimed at identifying the views on decentralization worldwide.
In order to understand recent changes this survey is being conducted among mayors, councilors, local government practitioners and civil society.
This survey is designed to understand:
- what we think about decentralization in relation to the latest economical developments;
- if there are similar or different views between the general population and those involved in local government work; and
- the expectations both practitioners and authorities have on decentralization.
