Following the meeting dedicated to the election of new members, United Cities and Local Governments of Africa, the General Assembly of UCLG Africa, the African Section of UCLG, Mr Khalifa Sall was selected as head of the Executive Bureau Committee.
In the short term, Khalifa Sall wishes to travel to Bamako as a demonstration of his and certain members' support. Additionally, Brazzaville was appointed to host the next assizes of the Executive Bureau Committee, meetings that are hosted in different locations. Regarding the designation of the city to host the 7th Africities Summit, the Executive Committee requested the Congress to approve the mandate to take this decision. Two cities are currently candidates to host: Lusaka in Zambia and Johannesburg in South Africa.
