Following the attack on Monday 3 April that has affected the lives of innocent people, on behalf of the World Secretariat and local and regional governments worldwide, we express our deepest condolences and sympathy to the Mayor and citizens of St. Petersburg, and in particular the families of the victims.
This sad news reminds us of the heavy price that cities and citizens from around the world pay due to acts of terrorism in all forms.
In the wake of these difficult times, we express our support to the municipality of St. Petersburg and to our colleagues from UCLG-EURASIA, and once again condemn this attack and call for lasting peace.
