UCLG Culture Summit in Izmir: Registration & Programme

Under the title “Culture: Shaping the Future”, the fourth UCLG Culture Summit is a unique global event. Mayors and local leaders, academics, activists, civil society organizations, cultural networks and key stakeholders involved in the global debate on culture and development will gather in Izmir to discuss the place of cultural policies in sustainable development.

The Summit will send strong messages on the role of culture in development, and its programme will emphasize that culture is an integral part of sustainable cities and communities. The Summit promotes the sharing of experiences, innovations and policies from cities and territories across the world. The Summit is part of UCLG’s Pact for the Future process and will adopt in this context the Declaration of Izmir: ‘Culture shapes the Future of Humanity’.
