City to City FAD Award 2013

City to City FAD Award 2013

The "City to City Barcelona FAD Award" was founded with the goal of connecting the FAD and Barcelona to other cities in the world and to establish that the clearly social component of design and architecture contributes to the improvement of people’s lives.

This is the third edition of the City to City Barcelona FAD Award, which was founded in 2008 with the intention of recognising on an international scale any urban experiences or actions -whether through public or private initiative- that have a positive and transforming effect on cities and their inhabitants.

This year's edition winner is:
Glasgow (UK), for «Stalled Spaces», developed as part of the Glasgow Open Space Strategy programme of the city’s Strategic Plan.

Mentions:
Cape Town (South Africa), for «Abalimi Bezekhaya», and Malmö (Sweden), for«Green Roofs and Stormwater Management».
