2 - 4 May 2016. Berlin, Germany
Cities as Actors is a three-day forum organised by Metropolis, the Senate Department for Urban Development and the Environment, Friedrich-Ebert-Stiftung and the Technische Universität Berlin.
The idea of the workshop is to identify implementation issues and to evaluate case studies about how implementation can succeed in cities ahead of the HABITAT III summit. This workshop is a continuation of Berlin’s PrepCity initiative, which was launched in Buenos Aires with a view to collating the local experience and proposals of individual cities.
At this workshop inter-disciplinary teams from selected cities will be able to reflect on the draft New Urban Agenda against the background of specific local transformation challenges, which can then be discussed with representatives from politics and society.
