We imagine your day-to-day work is challenged by this difficult context and we want to transmit the acknowledgement of such on behalf of the World Secretariat Team in our capacity as citizens of your cities and towns. The humanity is facing an enormous challenge. The COVID-19 crisis has an impact in all dimensions of our lives: the public health, the labour systems, the social interaction, the political debate, the use of public spaces, the economy, the environment, and the cultural life. (+)
Urban 20 calls for G20 to support cities as the frontline of addressing the COVID 19 Outbreak

The Chair of the Urban20, H.E. Fahd Al Rasheed, President of the Royal Commission for Riyadh City, calls for urgent action to assist cities in their efforts to contain the COVID-19 pandemic in view of the extraordinary Group of 20 (G20) Leaders’ Summit convened by the Saudi G20 Presidency on March 26th. Today, Smart Cities’ policies and programs are making the digital divide for people with disabilities worse not better. There are existing tools and strategies to help cities be both smarter and more inclusive. The Global Initiative for Inclusive ICTs (G3ict) is leading an initiative to help local governments worldwide deploy technology and use data to support greater inclusion for persons with disabilities in cities.  (+)
