The side event will aim to inform delegates and other stakeholders on how the priorities that people and governments have articulated in the Post-2015 process to date could be implemented.

This work builds upon the findings from the United Nations Development Group (UNDG)-organized ‘global conversation’, and in particular the second round dialogues on means of implementation that are taking place in 50 countries.

The event is timely as it will come hot on the heels of the Open Working Group (OWG) proposal on Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs). In addition, the event will precede the Secretary General’s report expected before the end of 2014 which will synthesize all of the Post-2015 contributions up to that point.

The goal of the event will be to contribute to the debate and move the focus to the importance of key issues such as accountability, monitoring and participation, localization, and partnerships. The objective will be to present the findings of the UNDG Dialogues on Post-2015 Implementation to Member States.
